The Audlem History Archive is a project designed to collect together as much as possible of the documentary history of Audlem (and the surrounding area) in such a way that anyone with browser access to the internet can examine freely the contents of the collection and find records within it. The project is a joint effort between the Audlem and District History Society (ADHS), AudlemOnline and ThenMedia Ltd (an Audlem based web technology company).

The records on the Archive have been submitted and will continue to be collected and updated, by members of ADHS. As the project expands it is hoped that more and more records will be supplied by readers generally and Audlem residents in particular. The general public access includes facilities for comments and additional information to be supplied by anyone. Public submissions will be moderated by a member of the History Society before becoming "live" on the Archive.

The records held on the Archive include

  • Books and extracts
  • Booklets
  • Diaries
  • Documents
  • Drawings
  • Flyers
  • Leaflets
  • Letters
  • Newspapers/Magazines
  • Pamphlets
  • Photographs
  • Postcards
In practice the majority of records are photographs of one form or another.

Eventually audio and video clips will also be added.
